Adavale Resources (ADD) has encountered positive results from the recent gravity survey at its Kabanga Jirani Project in Tanzania.

Surveying began in mid-March with an initial focus on the Luhuma corridor following the results from two smaller gravity programs and the fact it is largely underexplored.

Roughly 24,000 gravity readings will be collected with 5400 coming from Kabanga East, 11,200 from Kabanga Northeast, 2900 from Kabanga North and 4400 from Kabanga West.

According to Adavale, the results to date have been “outstanding” with multiple strong gravity anomalies identified along a 12-kilometre swathe.

Results also show indications of multiple intrusions along strike and adjacent to historically drilled mineralisation of 1.14 per cent nickel over 8.4 metres.

Furthermore, a strong “bullseye” gravity target was identified at the T7 target while a new strong anomaly was identified in the southwest.

“To have this measure of early success with the number of and resolution around the anomalies identified, including the Bullseye feature around target T7 is at the upper end of our technical advisors’ expectations,” Executive Director David Riekie commented.

“It also validates our belief in the prospectivity of the Luhuma corridor and the merits of including gravity surveying into our target selection process.”

“A fourth survey team is expected to join the program in the next two weeks to focus on
infilling anomalous areas identified by the regional teams. As anomalies are identified they will be ranked for follow-up exploration, including detailed electromagnetic coverage ahead of reverse circulation and diamond drill testing.”

Shares in Adavale were up 1.96 per cent on the market and were trading at 5.2 cents at 10:34 am AEST.
