The ASX200 closed up 0.6% at 8,535 points.

The local bourse climbed higher, as investors were buoyed by the Commonwealth Bank exceeding earnings expectations. Barrenjoey expects analysts to raise full year earnings for CBA after the bank posted a reduction in bad debts.

Industrials was the best performing sector, up 1.9%, followed by Financials, up 1.4%, and Staples 1.1%.

IT was the biggest loser, down 1%, followed by Materials, down 0.4% and Health Care, down 0.25%.

In the Green

Cazaly Resources (ASX:CAZ) closed up 7.1% after inking a deal with Brightstar Resources (ASX:BTR) to earn up to 80% of the Goongarrie Gold Project.

Cazaly Resources closed at 1.5 cents

Finder Energy (ASX:FDR) closed up 15.1% after posting progress on its Ikan 3D seismic reprocessing project, which is now 66% complete and on schedule for completion by the end of Q1.

Finder Energy closed at 3.8 cents.

AuKing Mining (ASX:AKN) closed up 25.0% after signing an MoU with Orion Resources and Tick Hill Mining, the current owner of the Tick Hill gold mine. The company has also commenced a $2 million note raising.

AuKing Mining closed at $0.005.

In the Red

EV Resources (ASX:EVR) closed down 14.3% after releasing assay results from its Los Lirios Antimony Project in Mexico. The initiative marks a step forward in the company’s plans to acquire a 70% stake in the joint venture, reflecting its drive to establish a 300-tonne per day mining and processing facility.

EV Resources closed at $0.006.

ADX Energy (ASX:ADX) closed down 3.7% after inking an agreement with the Austrian Ministry for Finance to vary its area of operations in Austria. The adjustments will provide the company with new growth opportunities without increasing cost.

ADX Energy closed at 2.6 cents.

NoviqTech (ASX:NVQ) closed down 5.4% on news its partnered with H2i Group to develop a novel approach to tokenise carbon credits from emission reductions in diesel engines.

The collaboration aims to enhance transparency in carbon asset tokenisation.

NoviqTech closed at 7 cents.
