- Exore Resources has reported further excellent results from infill and step-out reverse circulation (RC) drilling at its Antoinette gold discovery
- Drilling at Antoinette Central identified shallow high-grade oxide mineralisation across multiple lodes
- The strike now extends to approximately 1000 metres and remains open
- Multiple shallow mineralised zones were defined at Antoinette South over a 400-metre strike length
- Results demonstrate the potential of the Bagoe Project
- Latest results will be included in a maiden Antoinette resource estimate
Exore Resources has reported further excellent results from infill and step-out reverse circulation (RC) drilling at its Antoinette gold discovery within its Bagoe Project.
The Bagoe Project is located in northern Cote d’Ivoire, West Africa. This region is a major gold producing region with several nearby large operating mines. These include Barrick’s Tongon and Morila mines, Resolute’s Syama mine, Teranga’s Wahgnion mine and Persus’ Sissingue mine.
RC drilling was conducted at the Antoinette Central and Antoinette South zones.
Ongoing drilling is also being conducted at the Veronique Gold Discovery which is located just 12 kilometres to the south of Antoinette. This is an exciting area of the Bagoe Project as a structural review has highlighted the similarities of the structural setting at Veronique with the Barrick’s 4.2 million ounce Tongon gold mine.
At Antoinette Central, Exore drilled approximately 3000 metres across 25 holes. In total, 15,000 metres of RC drilling has been completed across 120 holes at Antoinette Central. This drilling will help Exore define a maiden interim resource estimate for Antoinette.
The company is pleased that the latest results have extended the defined mineralised strike at Antoinette Central to approximately 1000 metres across numerous lodes which remain open to the south and at depth.
Latest results include 7m @ 7.38g/t gold from 17m, 13m @ 8.30g/t gold from surface, 6m @ 4.30g/t gold from 31m, 13m @ 1.74g/t gold from 6m and 2m @ 5.06g/t gold from 41m, and 4m @ 2.98g/t gold from surface.
At Antoinette South, an additional 4000 metres of RC drilling across 27 holes were completed. Antoinette South is located 900 metres along strike from Antoinette Central.
Exore is pleased by drilling at Antoinette South as it defined multiple shallow mineralised zones over a strike length of 400 metres which remain open.
Results include 7m @ 3.61g/t gold from 90m and 10m @ 1.27g/t gold from 112m and 3m @ 10.25g/t gold from 136m.
“Drilling continues to demonstrate the potential to define significant shallow oxide ounces at Antoinette. These latest results have extended the defined strike length of the central zone at Antoinette to ~1000 metres and to ~400 metres at the southern zone, providing a combined 1400 metres of a defined mineralised strike that remains open,” Managing Director Justin Tremain said.
Further drilling results are expected in the next few weeks from ongoing drilling at the Antoinette areas as well as the Veronique gold discovery.
