Krakatoa Resources (KTA) has announced results for its recent Deep Ground Penetrating Radar (DGPR) survey across the Bell Valley Target.

The Bell Valley Target is part of the Belgravia Project within the Molong Volcanic Belt of New South Wales.

Krakatoa contracted Loza Rada Australia to conduct the DGPR survey at Belgravia to find favourable hosting environments for mineralisation. The survey acquired 15,373 line metres across 13 lines at Bell Valley.

The DGPR survey identified multiple critical anomalies associated with and proximal to interpreted porphyry-related targets being the central Bell and northern Lara 1 and 2 targets.

Additionally, a new anomaly southwest of Bella and towards the Copper Hill deposit was revealed.

The anomalies at Bella and Lara 1 and 2 coincide with anomalous gold and multi-element geochemistry and correspond with a magnetic low feature believed to influence the location of mineralisation at Copper Hill.

“The multipronged coincidence between the DGPR, drilling geochemistry, mineral alteration, magnetics, and geological structure, has refined and focused the exploration effort across the Bell Valley target area, where we are fortunate enough to be spoilt for choice,” Executive Chairman Colin Locke said.

Krakatoa believes the DGPR survey supports high-grade copper-gold veins potentially extending upwards from a porphyry source forming a secondary target at shallower levels.

The company will undertake an Induced Polarisation survey at Bella and the Lara’s to locate sulphide mineralisation zones detected by the DGPR survey.

Company shares are up 5 per cent and trading for 10.5 cents each at 1:34 pm AEST.
