Taruga Minerals (TAR) has commenced an auger drilling program at its Mt Craig project in South Australia.

The drilling will help the company obtain geochemical profiles across new targets to guide the upcoming reverse circulation (RC) drill program.

Taruga will conduct high-resolution ground magnetics, geophysical modelling and mapping.

In addition, it will also explore outcropping targets, with plans to complete standard surface geochemistry profiles and high-resolution ground magnetics.

CEO Thomas Line said the auger results will guide upcoming RC drilling.

“The targets we have identified are comprised of previously unknown anomalies, discovered by our team, and the ground in these areas has never before been drilled,” he said.

“We have applied our own concepts and new data to build these new targets and prioritise them.”

The exploration work will be co-funded by the South Australian State Government after the company secured $650,000 in funding.

Shares were trading down 8.7 per cent to close at 2.1 cents.
