WIN Metals (ASX:WIN) is now pondering a potential resource expansion at its newly acquired Radio Gold Project after recently landing multiple high-grade gold intercepts through a maiden drilling campaign and spotting mineralisation open to the north and at depth at the site’s Repeater prospect.

The drill intercepts, described by CEO Steve Norregard as a “clear vindication” for the company’s Radio project acquisition when he spoke to HotCopper earlier this week, boasted grades of up to 33.95 grams per tonne gold.
“These are outstanding first results… and a clear validation of the project’s potential,” Mr Norregard declared. “Hitting ounce dirt at Repeater demonstrates the high-grade nature of the mineralised system with 14g/t gold at depth on our very first pass reinforces that this system has scale and continuity.”
Most importantly: WIN believes the larger zones of mineralisation spotted in drilling should create opportunities for open-pit and underground mining.
“With infrastructure in place and Repeater only a hundred metres north of Radio, we’re only scratching the surface of what the extent of the mineralisation could be… but what we do know is its high grade,” WIN’s chief added.
WIN’s on-site team will now re-enter several of the northernmost holes in a bid to extend them; a campaign bundled in with ongoing plans to target further mineralisation and accelerate resource delineation.
At the same time, Portal, a prospect just south of Radio, is being investigated after near-surface mineralisation pointed to a possible open-pit opportunity.
“Momentum is building rapidly,” Mr Norregard declared – and that holds true for the company’s plans as much as the stock price. At Wednesday’s open today, WIN climbed another +2.17% higher, to breach +160% YTD.
In dollars and cents, WIN shares are worth 4.7c each today.
