These six board members bring extensive executive and military background experience across the U.S., Middle East, Israel, and Asia-Pacific regions.

Standouts include the former DroneShield (ASX:DRO) chief executive, as well as former seniors from Elsight (ASX:ELS), Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, General Dynamics, Airbus U.S. Space & Defence, and GE Aviation. 1414 Degree’s Chief Technology and Operations Officer, Peter Yaron, will also serve on the newly-founded board to oversee technical and operational integration.

“The advisory board is expected to bring immediate value-add capabilities to 1414 Degrees,” the Oz company told shareholders today.

“The board will support 1414 Degree’s newly established Aerospace, Drone & Defence Division 3 on commercialisation strategy, growth, policy engagement and partnership development across Tier 1 military, intelligence, government, law enforcement, commercial and critical infrastructure sectors.

“Beyond the core drone and UAV market, the board will also explore [adjacent] applications for 14D’s tech… including robotics, electric aircraft, unmanned ground, and underwater vehicles, satellites and autonomous delivery.”

HotCopper understands that the new 1414 Degrees group will also work on assessing M&A opportunities across aerospace, defence and drone sectors.

The advisory board’s formation coincides with the scale-up of the company’s SiNTL silicon nanoparticle battery anode technology, which is under an exclusive global licence from George Washington University.

In lab tests, the material achieved a specific capacity of 530 mAh/g, which is approximately 50% higher than conventional graphite anodes.

14D has opened up +8.3%, and is now up +348% YTD.
