3D Resources (DDD) has successfully completed drilling at the Adelong Goldfield in southern New South Wales (NSW).

As of July 21, 12 holes, for 2059 metres, had been drilled at the Challenger deposit and a further three holes into the Challenger Extended deposit for 222 metres.

Several shipments have already been dispatched to the laboratory for analysis and final samples are expected to be posted later today.

Drilling began in mid-June with aims to better improve 3D Resources’ understanding of a possible transition from an open pit to an underground mine.

Drilling also filled in gaps of previous drilling and confirm historical data.

Managing Director Peter Mitchell is pleased with the drilling progress as all holes have reached the target depth.

“We are very pleased with the latest drilling program as all the holes met target depths, as the drill was able to drill through the voids left from old miners to reach the target depths and demonstrates what can be achieved at Adelong,” Mr Mitchell said.

“Initial logging of chips from the Challenger Extended drilling are also encouraging as the presence of sulphides suggests mineralisation remains open to north.”

3D Resources will now undertake geochemical soil sampling at Sawpit and to the north of the Lady Mary mine as well as a potential drone magnetic survey.

Shares in 3D Resources were trading in the grey at 0.5 cents at 11:36 am AEST.
