3D Resources (DDD) has expanded its exploration program at the Adelong Gold Project in New South Wales.

The project covers 70 square kilometres and comprises the old Adelong Goldfield in southern New South Wales.

3D has been conducting a strategic review of the Adelong Project with a particular focus on resource assessment of historic data, drilling, exploration, plant upgrade and mining operations.

So far, this review has led to the total mineral resource increasing by 42 per cent to 180,600 ounces, the completion of a maiden drilling program, and appointing a contractor to upgrade the processing plant.

Additionally, the company has proposed an initial public offering (IPO) of its subsidiary, Cosmo Gold, to enable the company to focus on the Adelong Goldfield.

3D Resources plans to conduct a further 2000 metres of drilling under its phase two drilling program across a number of targets including Sawpit, targets around the Challenger deposit and the area between Donkey Hill and Caledonian.

This drilling is expected to be completed before the end of the year and results from the initial drilling program are expected in October.

Further, the company plans to complete geophysics, geochemical sampling to generate more drill targets and complete geophysical and geological interpretation to target structures with potential mineralisation.

3D’s shares are up 8.33 per cent and trading for 0.7 cents at 3:24 pm AEST.
