3D Resources’ (DDD) maiden drilling program at the Adelong Goldfield is expected to begin on August 10.

The Adelong Gold Project covers 70 square kilometres and is located approximately 20 kilometres from Tumut and 80 kilometres from Gundagai in southern New South Wales.

The initial phase of the drilling program was to focus on the Donkey Hill Project. However, 3D has decided to expand the program to include the Currajong Project.

“The company is excited to announce our maiden drilling program at the Adelong Goldfield Projects scheduled to start next month,” Chairman Ian Hastings said.

The decision to include the Currajong Project comes after an amended mine operation plan was approved. 3D believes expanding the drilling program will maximise the impact and outcomes of it’s activity.

In the meantime, 3D Resources remains focused on long-term activities before drilling commences in August.

In relation to these activities, 3D has received approval for further drilling at the Challenger Project and has also submitted an application to drill the Sawpit Project.

The company is considering a geochemical soil sampling program along a one-kilometre section between the Currajon and Gibraltar projects. Additionally, it may target a three-kilometre mineralised zone north of Sawpit, where historic workings have never been drilled.

Following sampling, 3D Resources expects to drill these projects later in the year.

“We see tremendous opportunity across the Adelong Goldfields Projects and I look forward to working with the Board to unlock the potential in the coming months,” Ian said.

In light of the recent news that Victoria will close its borders, 3D will obtain border travel permits once it receives more information from the Victorian and New South Wales governments.

If necessary, the company will consider using New South Wales-based geologists to oversee the drilling program.

Company shares are up 14.3 per cent and are trading for 0.4 cents each at 1:27 pm AEST.
