Australian telco 5G Networks (5GN) has signed Servers Australia, a service cloud provider in the infrastructure market, as a partner for its recently announced indirect channel.

This marks the first partner secured under the new indirect channel, which was first revealed in November last year.

“5GN is delighted to welcome Servers Australia as their first indirect channel partner,” 5G Network’s Managing Director Joe Demase said.

The deal is for an initial two-year term, and comes with a minimum spend of $750,000. Under the agreement, 5GN will supply Servers Australia’s Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide centres with data centre capacity.

In today’s release to the market, the company detailed an important aspect of the agreement which allows Servers Australia to resell 5GN’s cloud solution alongside high-speed fibre networking.

“The agreement also delivers Servers Australia with the opportunity to resell the 5GN Cloud solution together with high-speed fibre networking which securely connects the geographically diverse data centres to a national high-speed network footprint,” 5GN wrote.

Severs Australia’s CEO, Jared Hirst commented that the partnership with 5GN will assist the company to “provide a diverse packaging of carrier and support services for our customers”.

At market close, 5GN’s share price is up 7.48 per cent, with shares trading for 79 cents each.
