92 Energy (92E) is planning a winter 2022 drilling program at its Gemini Project in the Athabasca Basin region of northern Saskatchewan, Canada.

The program will start in January and include 6600 metres of diamond drilling testing the extent of uranium mineralisation.

The majority of this drilling program is following up the GMZ discovery drill hole GEM-004 with the objective of determining the extent of uranium mineralisation along and across strike.

The company has also identified a 1.8-kilometre long trend to the north of GEM-004 which is considered a highly prospective exploration ground.

92E’s local exploration team has appointed Bryson Drilling of Archerwill, Saskatchewan as the drilling contractor.

Commenting on the upcoming drilling program is Managing Director Siobhan Lancaster.

“We are excited to get back out to the GMZ in January 2022 to follow up the uranium mineralisation in drill hole GEM-004 at the GMZ and to explore other high priority areas, including the Gemini Extension Zone with 1.8km of highly prospective strike length immediately north of the GMZ,” she said.

“In the Athabasca Basin, uranium deposits are often discovered by following up mineralised drill holes with substantial hydrothermal alteration and major structures. The recent Triple R, Arrow and Hurricane discoveries are all good examples of this.”

As soon as the market opened this morning, 92E was in the grey and trading at 68.5 cents per share at 10:00 am AEDT.
