This morning, the Ritz Carlton Perth opened its doors for business, located in the sparkling Elizabeth Quay. The opening marks the Ritz’s 100th international establishment.

Featuring 205 guest rooms and suites, the luxury spaces boast views of the city skyline and the Swan River. Including a heated infinity pool which overlooks the quay.

On the ground, W.A.’s 2018 Chef of the Year, Jed Gerrad, will be heading the opening of Hearth. n 2016, Jed launched the Como Hotels’ Wildflower restaurant, another staple in Perth’s fine cuisine scene.

Picked for his unique approach to the culinary arts, the idea is all produce for the fine dining experience will be sourced from around W.A. The restaurant favours over the fire cooking and will maintain a seasonal menu.

Up top, Songbird bar will open on the Ritz’s rooftop. The menus are inspired by native botanicals and mesmerising sunsets. Bites are available all day.

This mornings’ opening was met with a smoking ceremony at 5:30 am and a welcome to country at 9:00 am.

All aspects of the hotel are weaved together to pay homage to Western Australia, on entry guests will be greeted by over 10,000 pieces of hand-picked sandstone from the Kimberley.

Ritz Perth’s General Manager Dario Orsini said: “This place is packed with homages to what Western Australia has to offer to world.”

“Everything that you will taste, see, feel and touch here in Western Australia,” Dario added.
