Junior resource explorer Inca Minerals (ICG) has found “bonanza” grades of silver at its Riqueza project in Peru alongside stand-out grades of copper and zinc.

One sample returned a result showing a silver grade of 1214 grams per tonne. A second sample recorded a silver grade of 519 grams per tonne.

A copper highlight included a grade of 4.84 per cent, and the best zinc grade identified from the samples taken was 31.36 per cent.

The results follow a mapping and sampling program at the project which sought to test previously observed targets of mineralisation. Unexplored sites thought to be prospective based on collected airborne and satellite data were also sampled.

In total, 95 rockchip samples were taken and tested from the Yanacolipa and Cuncayoc Copper-Ajo Orjo geochemical areas at the project.

Earlier this month the company also completed a soil program at the project which collected 1286 samples.

Managing Director of Inca Minerals Ross Brown explained the collection of data allows for the company to being outlining areas to target at the project.

“The purpose is to start drawing together different data sets to begin the process of target prioritisation,” Ross said.

Inca Mineral’s share price is remaining flat today, currently trading for 0.2 cents each.
