  • Lake Resources (LKE) have appointed mining expert Robert Trzebski to its board
  • Robert has more than 30 years experience in international mining, including in Latin America
  • The company is still assessing candidates for the chairperson position
  • Lake Resources are down 3 per cent today, trading at 2.5 cents apiece

Lithium explorer and developer Lake Resources (LKE) have today announced Dr Robert Trzebski will join their board.

Robert is an international mining executive with significant expertise in mining. His career in project management and mining services spans over 30 years, and he holds a PHD in Geophysics as well as a masters in project development.

Lake Resources are currently in early exploration stages for lithium brine in Argentina’s lithium triangle and say Robert’s experience will be beneficial for their operations.

Robert is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Austmine and holds experience in operational, commercial and technical aspects in the global mining markets, including Argentina and Chile, which has given him an extensive network of global contacts.

His experience in Latin America was serving as a Non-Executive Director of Austral Gold, a position held since 2007.

Steve Promnitz managing director of Lake Resources said

“Robert offers a measured and collaborative approach with vast experience in South America that will be invaluable as Lake advances towards initial production of its lithium products,” he told the market.

“He will surely be a valuable addition to the Board,” he said.

Robert’s appointment to the board follows Lake’s decision at the end of October to bring in Gary Gill as an expert CFO, to help with funding for the company’s planned initial lithium production in Argentina.

Currently, Lake is continuing to work through a range of funding solutions which include debt or investment directly at the project level.

The company are still on the hunt for a Chairperson, a position currently being filled by Stu Crow, who will step down to a non-executive director once a new replacement is found.

Lake Resources are down 3.8 per cent today, trading at 2.5 cents apiece at 2:27 pm AEDT.
