  • Exore Resources’ (ERX) Veronique prospect has returned additional high grade gold assays
  • Gold grading more than 44 grammes per tonne was returned
  • Step-out drilling is currently underway at the Antoinette gold discovery to test for shallow oxide extensions
  • Exore has ended the day 8.33 per cent in the red with shares trading for 6.6 cents apiece

Exore Resources’ (ERX) Veronique prospect has returned additional high grade gold assays.

Previous preliminary test work at the prospect indicated favourable metallurgical recoveries from primary mineralisation.

The Veronique prospect is located within the Bagoe Project in northern Cote d’Ivoire.

The Bagoe Project is in a major gold producing region with several nearby large operating gold mines including Barrick’s 4.2 million ounce Tongon and 6.5 million ounce Morila mines.

Latest results are from a further 29 holes for 2505 metres of reverse circulation (RC) drilling to an average depth of less than 90 metres.

These results include a further 160 metre step-out on the 600 metre west-northwest mineralised strike defined with recent RC drilling.

These step-out holes returned results of 2 metres at 44.08g/t gold, and 2 metres at 21.23g/t gold.

High-grade mineralisation remains completely open with no drilling beyond this section.

Further RC drilling at Veronique will shortly be undertaken, including step-out drilling along strike to the south-east along with some infill to define potential high-grade plunge orientation.

Results confirm the interpreted west-northwest strike orientation of high-grade gold mineralisation is a well-developed weathered profile of 50-70 vertical metres of oxidation.

The area of Veronique that is currently being tested in just the centre of the large 7 kilometre long Veronique gold anomaly.

An auger sampling program is underway to define additional RC targets in the extensive surface gold anomalism.

Gold mineralisation at Veronique is hosted by zones of quartz veining and sericite alteration within an equigranular granite.

Results from this maiden RC program at Veronique align with Exore’s objective of defining shallow high-grade gold mineralisation at Veronique to complement the shallow resources being defined at the nearby Antoinette discovery.

RC drilling is continuing at Veronique and is also currently underway in the Antoinette prospect to target shallow extensions to the 1000 metres previously drilled.

Exore has also been undertaking auger sampling, testing the broader 7 kilometre corridor of anomalous soil geochemistry at Veronique.

This auger sampling is being undertaken to the north and south of the current area of RC drilling and is designed to define additional RC drill targets across the broader area.

Exore has ended the day 8.33 per cent in the red with shares trading for 6.6 cents apiece in a $42.09 million market cap.
