SRG secure $60M contract with South32 for Worsley Alumina operation

• SRG Global is awarded a long term contract with South32 -three years with potential three-year extension
• Total estimated revenues under the contract are approximately $32 million over the initial period, and approximately $60 million if extended
• The contract will see SRG Global provided scaffold services and highly skilled rope access technicians for the Worsley Alumina operation in WA
• Work expected to commence in June 2019 and will create approximately 100 full time jobs

SRG Global, an engineering-led specialist construction, maintenance and mining services group, has secured a long term asset services contract with South32, valued at $60 million.

Under the contract, SRG Global will use its expertise to provide engineered access solutions such as scaffold services and highly skilled rope access technicians, for South32’s Worsley Alumina operation.

At Worsley Alumina, bauxite is mined then transported over 50 kilometres to a refinery near Collie, where it is turned into white alumina powder. The alumina is then transported by rail to Bunbury Port, where it is shipped to smelters around the world. Worsley Alumina is one of the largest and lowest-cost alumina producers in the world.

The contract is initially for a three-year term however there are options to extend for a further three years, should South32 choose. Revenues are expected to generate approximately $32 million over the initial three-year term. If the contract is extended this figure will nearly double, reaching $60 million.

SRG Global is expected to commence working on the Worsley Alumina operation in June 2019. Securing this contract is a big win for the Company and will increase its workforce by approximately 100 full time positions.
