- The Israel Navy has purchased Mobilicom’s Commercial Drone Upgrade Solution for more than $280,000
- One track to achieve its $1 million target by the end of 2019
Mobilicom Limited has announced its commercial drone upgrade solution has been purchased by the Israeli Navy for more than $280,000.
The solution was developed after the US ban on the use of certain drones in security operations as a result of potential backdoor cyber risks.
Mobilicom designs, develops and delivers communication solutions for remote areas to operate without the need for existing infrastructure. It offers a range of products from network management, remote terminals and controllers, and mobile communications.
It has a range of customers such as the Navy, transportation, national security and disaster relief first responders.
Sales have generated to more than $850,000 in 2019 alone with its target of $1 million revenue well on the way to being achieved by the end of 2019.
In April, Mobilicom signed a $200,000 deal with NTT Japan for its MCU products to serve the Japanese Self Defence Forces (SDF) and disaster relief initiatives.
As it is evident in disasters communication becomes overworked and it often collapses. This results in first responders not being able to reach people in time and they must rely on their own private networks.
The solution will allow NTT to perform quick and easy deployment in challenging environments to enable video and audio data. It can be deployed to security and first responders in vehicles and mobile areas.
This was Mobilicom’s first contract, with CEO Oren Elkayam pleased with the purchase.
“This is an exciting achievement for us to be selling these kit solutions to NTT for its ongoing initiative with the SDF. We are embarking on an effort to extend this across various SDF units throughout Japan and therefore multiply sales,” he said.
