Cygnus Gold strikes more high-grade gold at WA Stanley Project

• Cygnus Gold has struck high-grade gold at the Kepler Zone in the Stanley Project area
• RC drilling returned mineralisation of 6m at 1.95 g/t gold from 81m, including 2m at 5.49 g/t gold from 81m
• Kepler also tested low-grade mineralisation in the McDougall South area, returning results including 9m at 0.40 g/t gold from 42m

Cygnus Gold has discovered high-grade gold at the Kepler Zone at its Stanley Project in Western Australia’s Wheatbelt.

Reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Kepler Zone returned mineralisation of 6m at 1.95 g/t gold from 81m, including 2m at 5.49 g/t gold from 81m.

The high-grade gold was intersected along strike from previous high-grade results in the area, and drilling has now extended the Kepler Zone 220 metres northwest of the Bottleneck Prospect on the Stanley Project.

The Kepler Zone was identified after reviewing drill results around the Bottleneck Prospect in the area, which returned mineralisation of 5m at 1.8 g/t gold from 137m to EOH (end of hole) including 1m at 6.29 g/t gold fro 139m.

In addition to the 11 holes drilled for roughly 1,224 metres a Kepler, Cygnus has also tested low-grade mineralisation at the McDougall South area on the Stanley Project with six RC holes for approximately 616 metres. The McDougall South drilling intersected low-grade gold, including 9m at 0.40 g/t gold from 42m.

Cygnus Managing Director James Merrillees said the company was happy with the early success at the Kepler Zone.

“The intersection in [hole] confirmed our interpretation that this mineralised system has potential to deliver high gold grades. With this zone only lightly drill tested, we believe there is plenty of scope to deliver a meaningful discovery at Kepler,” he said.

Cygnus Gold’s Stanley Project makes up an area of 160 square kilometres, located roughly 60 kilometres northeast of the Wheatbelt town of Katanning in Western Australia. The Stanley Project is Cygnus’ most advanced exploration project, and over 12,000 metres of drilling has been completed in the area.
