  • Manas Resources (MSR) has uncovered major gold-in-soil anomalies spanning a 16-kilometre strike length at its Diellé permit
  • Significantly, five of the samples assayed over 100 parts per billion (ppb) gold and the peak response was over two grams per tonne of gold
  • The anomalies will be covered by IP geophysical surveys to identify follow up drilling targets
  • Manas is up a healthy 14.3 per cent and shares are trading for 0.4 cents each

Manas Resources (MSR) has announced encouraging regional geochemical sampling results from its Diellé permit at the Mbengué Gold Project.

The Diellé permit was granted to the company in late January this year.

A total of 1489 sites were sampled on a 500-metre by 500-metre spaced grid. Positively, the newly discovered anomalies on the Diellé permit have the same geochemical associations, being gold, silver, copper, iron and tellurium, that the company had previously confirmed as pathfinders for bedrock gold mineralisation in other areas of the project.

Significantly, five of the samples assayed over 100 parts per billion (ppb) gold and the peak response was 2026ppb gold (or 2.03g/t gold).

An exceptionally large anomaly was identified along the Mbengué shear zone structure, which runs northeast-southwest for 16 kilometres through the southern part of the permit.

Anomalous gold samples, including the sample grading 2026ppb gold, are present along the whole 16-kilometre strike length.

Additionally, the northern portion of Diellé found several point anomalies up to 250ppb over a 15-kilometre strike length of the parallel Toumoukro shear structure.

“The results from the newly-acquired 100 per cent owned Diellé permit confirm the potential of the Mbengué Gold Project to host a major gold deposit. These newly discovered anomalies, with strike lengths to 16km, represent excellent targets for follow-up drill testing,” Chairman Alan Campbell said.

The newly identified anomalies will be covered by IP geophysical surveys to identify targets for follow-up auger drilling.

Manas is up a healthy 14.3 per cent and shares are trading for 0.4 cents each at 12:05 pm AEST.
