Marmota (MEU) will commence reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Aurora Tank gold discovery in South Australia.

In April this year, Marmota reported outstanding high-grade results with gold grading up to 74g/t.

Additionally, recent tests of high-grade gold at Aurora Tank found that gold grains collected at 38 metres to 39 metres on the NW flank are primary mineralisation. This is encouraging as it suggests their host mineralised lodes may geologically continue at depth below the currently drilled zone.

The upcoming RC drilling program will include 85 holes at an average depth of 88 metres, and for a total 7500 metres.

“This is Marmota’s largest ever RC drill program at Aurora Tank and with a special focus on primary mineralisation extensions. It is shaping up as one of our most interesting, varied and exciting drill programs to date,” Chairman Dr Colin Rose said.

Drilling will target extensions to the north, northeast and to the east of the Aurora Tank mineralised zone. Drilling will also test new extensions to the new NW flank.

Additionally, Marmota will conduct infill drilling to assist with resource modelling and optimal pit design.

Marmota expects drilling will take three to four weeks.

Company shares closed a slight 1.69 per cent in the green to trade for 6 cents each.
