K-Tig (KTG) has appointed Adrian Smith as Managing Director, effective November 1, 2020.

Adrian joined the board on February 20, 2020, and has been an Executive Director since July 28.

He has over 30 years experience in engineering, defence and strategic planning within Australia, working in both Managing Director and CEO roles.

Prior to joining K-Tig, Adrian worked with the likes of Telstra Applied Technologies, Rheinmetall Defence and simulation and training business Sydac.

At Sydac, Adrian was Founder and CEO, where he oversaw the company becoming the number 2 supplier of railway simulations.

He has been Managing Director of Rheinmetall Defence and is currently a Non-Executive Director of UniSA Ventures, Myriota, and Universal Motion Simulations.

“We are delighted to have Adrian step into the role of Managing Director,” Chairman Stuart Carmichael said.

“Adrian has been instrumental in driving a number of our key strategic initiatives since joining the company and brings significant knowledge and networks across industry sectors,” he added.

K-Tig is down 3.7 per cent on the market with shares trading for 26 cents each at 2:28 pm AEDT.
