Global Health (GLH) has teamed up with Butterfly Residential Care to create an integrated client management system that focuses on mental health issues.
The contract is worth over $122,000 over an initial 12 months and includes a portfolio of Global Health’s signature platforms.
Butterfly Foundation is the national organisation for people living with eating disorders and body image issues. Butterfly’s mission is to change lives by providing services, treatments and resources.
With help from the Federal Government and generous philanthropic support, Butterfly is creating a new facility, dubbed Wandi Nerida. The facility will be located on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast and is due to open in mid-2021.
Wandi Nerida is Australia’s first community-based residential facility for eating disorders. The new facility will have 13 beds and will focus not only on treatments but the perpetuating psychological factors that contribute to these serious and complex mental illnesses.
Under the contract, Global Health will provide the electronic medical record (EMR) and patient administration system (PAS) solutions for Wandi Nerida.
“Global Health maintained a high focus on customer service and adaptability throughout the selection process,” Wandi Nerida Executive Director Jodie Ashworth said.
“Their experience with ICT solutions for mental health services made them a clear choice for developing innovative solutions for leading-edge health providers,” she added.
Global Health Managing Director Mathew Cherian said his team extremely understands what is happening in the mental health space in Australia.
“We are strongly committed to supporting the Wandi Nerida facility to become the benchmark and ultimately viewed as the best practice model in dealing with the specific needs of people living with an eating disorder,” he concluded.
On the market this afternoon, Global Health is down 2.63 per cent and is trading for 37 cents per share at 1:33 pm AEDT.
