Tesoro Resources (TSO) has intersected multiple gold-bearing zones at the Ternera prospect at the El Zorro Gold Project in Chile.

The company has now received results from six diamond holes with results further extending the mineralised zone.

Five of the holes intersected broad mineralised gold zones with high-grade results being returned from several mineralised fault zones.

Best results include 0.5 metres at 29.9g/t gold from 127.5 metres, and 65 metres at 0.84g/t gold from 157 metres including 2.5 metres at 15.92g/t gold from 205 metres.

The holes were drilled to test an induced polarisation anomaly, test the southeast extensions of the Ternera mineralisation, and extend the Ternera high-grade gold zone to the west and north.

“Tesoro’s drilling success continues at El Zorro with another solid set of assay results,” Managing Director Zeff Reeves said.

“These results are particularly significant as they are defining a set of continuous high-grade structures developing in the southwest sector of Ternera as well as showing significant scope for expansions to the northwest,” he added.

Drilling continues at the Ternera prospect, with two diamond drill rigs operating 24 hours a day in a program expected to continue into December.

Tesoro is steady on the market, with shares trading for 36.5 cents each at 11:08 am AEDT.
