Wildcat Resources (WC8) has begun fieldwork at the Bolt Cutter Project in Western Australia.

Bolt Cutter lies within the Mallina Province, which is a large and highly prospective gold province that remains largely underexplored.

Wildcat has a strong land position in three applications, and it is the only applicant for these tenements. The company will provide an update when the tenements are granted.

Senior consultant geologist Paull Parker will spend several days onsite undertaking and completing early-stage reconnaissance activities.

Importantly, De Grey Mining’s (DEG) recent Hemi discovery uncovered a major new gold system within the Mallina Gold Province.

Previous exploration in the province primarily focused on the structurally controlled gold mineralisation.

Additionally, the highly prospective Berghaus Shear is believed to have provided fluid access for the formation of Hemi.

The aim of Wildcat’s work is to examine the historical prospects and examine the structural features to assess prospectivity.

The company will also cross the Berghaus Shear and check areas of historical work.

Wildcat is up 2.63 per cent on the market with shares trading for 3.9 cents each at 1:11 pm AEDT.
