Castle Minerals (CDT) has identified six gold and three copper anomalies at its Polelle project in Western Australia.

Polelle lies 25 kilometres south of Meekatharra and hosts a minimally explored greenstone belt consisting of lithological units and major structural features.

These anomalies were identified via a sampling program which analysed 1877 samples for gold, base metal and pathfinder elements.

The gold anomalies range between 200 metres to 2.4 kilometres in length, while the copper anomalies range between 800 metres to two kilometres in length.

Company geologists are currently on site undertaking a field inspection of all anomalies.

Additionally, they are planning the details of an infill auger program which, subject to results, will be followed by a multi-target drilling program.

“The delineation of six gold and three copper anomalies at Polelle is very encouraging given this expansive project area is largely soil covered and has received minimal attention compared to the more exposed areas of the prolific Meekatharra mining district,” Managing Director Stephen Stone said.

“Castle’s geologists are on-site now field checking the anomalous areas ahead of an infill auger programme which we hope will be followed shortly after by a maiden drilling program at Polelle,” he added.

Castle is up a healthy 16.7 per cent on the market this morning with shares trading at 1.1 cents at 10:32 am AEDT.
