  • De Grey Mining (DEG) has discovered two new intrusions, dubbed Diucon and Eagle, which show encouraging alteration and gold mineralisation
  • The Port Headland discoveries were intersected in first-pass aircore and reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Hemi gold discovery
  • Recent drilling has defined two new zones of gold mineralisation over approximately one kilometre at Diucon and 500 metres of strike at Eagle
  • Initial results at Diucon reveal 99 metres at 1.0g/t gold from 114 metres, including 19 metres at 2.0g/t gold from 158 metres and six metres at 4.5g/t gold from 186 metres
  • The Eagle intrusion has shown 68 metres at 0.7g/t gold from 50 metres including three metres at 1.3g/t gold from 51 metres
  • Moving forward, systematic aircore drilling will continue in the Greater Hemi area
  • De Grey Mining is up 3.19 per cent, trading at 97 cents

De Grey Mining (DEG) has discovered two new gold intrusions with encouraging alteration and mineralisation in WA.

Diucon and Eagle were discovered during first-pass aircore and reverse circulation (RC) drilling west of Crow at DEG’s Hemi gold discovery, 60 kilometres south of Port Hedland in Western Australia.

Recent drilling has defined two new zones of gold mineralisation over approximately one kilometre at Diucon and 500 metres of strike at Eagle. Promisingly, the intrusions are not highlighted by any magnetic signature, leaving large scope to define further non-magnetic intrusions throughout the region.

Initial results at Diucon reveal 99 metres at 1.0g/t gold from 114 metres, including 19 metres at 2.0g/t gold from 158 metres and six metres at 4.5g/t gold from 186 metres.

The Eagle Intrusion has shown 68 metres at 0.7g/t gold from 50 metres, including three metres at 1.3g/t gold from 51 metres, and six metres at 2.0g/t from 78 metres and 18 metres at 1.3g/t gold from 96 metres from the first two RC holes.

Anomalous gold zones have also been identified in aircore drilling over at least 500 metres along strike and 200 metres wide, located 200 metres north of Diucon.

The intrusion remains open to the east and west and at depth, with further RC drilling underway.

“Systematic aircore drilling around Hemi has discovered two new mineralised intrusions: Diucon and Eagle. The initial follow up RC drilling has intersected broad zones of shallow gold mineralisation. Wide spaced drilling is at an early stage and both intrusions remain open along strike and at depth,” said Managing Director, Glenn Jardine.

“Follow up RC drilling will continue with the aim to delineate the extent and continuity of gold mineralisation in both intrusions. Potential exists to define new resources to add to the existing gold endowment at Hemi,” he continued.

De Grey Mining is up 3.19 per cent, trading at 97 cents at 10:36 am AEDT.
