Essential Metals (ESS) has received all results from the 23-hole reverse circulation (RC) drilling program undertaken at the Juglah Dome Gold Project.

Juglah Dome lies roughly 60 kilometres east-southeast of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia and is highly prospective for gold mineralisation.

Work wrapped up in the first half of December with holes drilled across the Gards, Golden Shovel, Moonbaker and Dwyer prospects.

Gards

11 RC holes, for 1093 metres, were drilled at the Gards Prospect to test the 750-metre strike length.

Best results include eight metres at 2.18g/t gold from 34 metres including one metre at 6.69g/t gold, and three metres at 2.06g/t gold from 90 metres including one metre at 5.63g/t gold.

Gards was last drilled in 2003 where a best result of seven metres at 1.47g/t gold was returned.

Golden Shovel

Six holes, for 642 metres, were drilled at Golden Shovel to target mineralisation in porphyry which is similar to that at Gards.

Best results include three metres at 0.66g/t gold from 107 metres, three metres at 0.60g/t gold from surface, and two metres at 0.52g/t gold from 115 metres.

Moonbaker

Four RC holes were drilled at Moonbaker and the results confirmed the presence of a west-dipping structure that lines up with a previously identified gold anomaly.

Best results include four metres at 1.45g/t gold from 76 metres, three metres at 0.72g/t gold from 42 metres, and six metres at 0.61g/t gold from 54 metres.

Dwyer

Two holes were drilled at Dwyer, however, no significant gold mineralisation was encountered.

“The drilling encountered strong gold mineralisation at the Gards Prospect which appears to thicken and improve to the south where it remains open and untested,” Managing Director Tim Spencer commented.

“The interpreted structures targeted at the other three prospects were all intersected in drilling, increasing our understanding of the geology of these prospects and the broader Juglah Dome Project area,” he said.

“We will now utilise this drill data, together with information from the soil sampling programs, to plan our next steps – particularly at the Gards Prospect,” he added.

During the next three months, Essential Metals will undertake an infill soil program over priority areas and test for potential extensions to the Gards mineralisation.

Shares in Essential Metals are down 6.9 per cent and are trading at 13.5 cents at 1:14 pm AEDT.
