Pathfinder Resources (PF1) has appointed ConoSur Drilling to complete a maiden diamond drilling program at the King Tut Project in Argentina.

ConoSur Drilling, formerly Energold Argentina, was only formed a few months ago after a local management buyout of the Argentinian company which was a subsidiary of an internationally recognised drilling contractor, Energold Group.

“This appointment is a key step in progressing our exploration plans at the King Tut Project and we are very pleased to be partnering with an established local company of the calibre of ConoSur Drilling,” Managing Director Shannon Green said.

Pathfinder expects to contract ConoSur Drilling for future drilling programs.

Drilling will include six holes, for 1000 metres, to test and define the continuity of existing mineralisation at depth and better understand the regional setting of the King Tut mine.

The upcoming program will also provide geological data and parameters to help with estimating a potential JORC 2012 inferred mineral resource.

“With the first hole on target to commence in late March 2021, I look forward to updating our shareholders on the progress and outcomes of the maiden diamond drilling program in the near future,” Shannon added.

The diamond drilling program is expected to start later this month and will run for about eight weeks, if all goes to plan.

Pathfinder ended the day with shares trading flat at 22 cents at market close.
