DroneShield (DRO) has received multiple first orders for its latest product, DroneSentry-X.

Sydney-based DroneShield specialises in electronic warfare, artificial intelligence, sensor fusion and radio frequency sensing for protecting military, government, law enforcement and VIPs around the world.

The orders for DroneSentry-X, an on-the-move counter-drone technology system, include both detection-only and detect-and-defeat variants for North America and South East Asia regions.

The orders, resulting in around $500,000 in proceeds, were received in the past week. These mark the initial trial purchases of the system in two separate countries, in anticipation of larger procurements.

“DroneSentry-XTM offers a truly unique capability for directional awareness of asymmetric warfare vectors such as nefarious UAS used for reconnaissance and payload delivery,” said DronShield’s CEO Oleg Vornik.

“With DroneShield’s expertise in waveform design, it provides a complete bubble of surveillance around the deployed area.”

Additional follow-up orders are currently being discussed.

“We look forward to delivering these initial sales, and expanding to repeat sales, as we have recently done with our other products,” said Vornik.

The company expects to receive the cash proceeds from these orders through the March, June and September quarters.

DroneShield is up 6.25 per cent, trading at 17 cents at 10:30 am AEDT.
