Golden Mile Resources (G88) has begun its follow-up drill program at the Wanghi prospect.

The prospect is part of the Benalla Project within the Company’s Leonora Gold Project, located north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.

On March 29, G88 announced it had intersected a wide zone of high-grade mineralisation at the prospect.

Results from the aircore drilling program included 28 metres at 1.79 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 51 metres, including 14 metres at 3.07g/t gold from 63 metres.

Further to these results, one sample that returned 33 metres at 1.6g/t gold from 48 metres has been re-assayed as one metre at 7.68 g/t gold from 73 metres.

Now, a 10-hole, approximately 1000-metre reverse circulation (RC) drilling
program is underway to test the newly identified structural zone.

The program is expected to be completed within a week to ten days, with results expected later next month.

Results are pending from the balance of the aircore drilling program completed last month at Benalla. The company expects to release these results once all assays are returned in the coming weeks.

Shares are in the red, down 13 per cent to 10 cents each at 2:56 pm AEST.
