PolarX’s (PXX) field team has mobilised to site, and work is set to begin at the Humboldt Range Gold-Silver Project in Nevada this week.

The Humboldt Range Project lies between the large-scale gold mines of Florida Canyon and Rochester.

It contains geology consistent with bonanza-style epithermal gold-silver mineralisation and bulk mineable epithermal gold-silver mineralisation.

Despite being owned by the same family since the 1950s, very limited exploration has been undertaken.

However, early-stage exploration between 2005 and 2009 identified quartz veins carrying base and precious metals occur in volcanic rocks to measure between 30 to 275 metres in width.

Furthermore, there are also quartz-sulphide veins that carry visible gold.

Previous sampling at the project has returned up to 3384g/t gold, 2837g/t silver, 22.9 per cent lead and 3.1 per cent zinc.

Fieldwork will begin at the Fourth of July block in the south and will focus on the known high-grade outcropping quartz veins.

Once initial mapping and sampling is completed, PolarX will undertake systematic soil sampling and geological mapping.

Following work at Fourth of July, a similar program will be undertaken at the Black Canyon block to the north.

PolarX is up a healthy 13.8 per cent and shares are trading at 3.3 cents at 12:34 pm AEST.
