Blue Star Helium (BNL) has appointed Trent Spry as CEO and Managing Director, effective April 14, 2021.

Trent will replace previous Managing Director Joanne Kendrick, who has decided to step down.

Trent is already an Executive Director of Blue Star, having held that role since April 2019.

He is a qualified geologist and has over 25 years experience in the oil, gas and helium resource industries.

In past roles, he has overseen business development, capital raisings, divestments and acquisitions.

In these new roles, Trent will continue to work closely with the company’s U.S.-based team consulting personnel.

“We are pleased to appoint a resource professional with the specific experience and expertise of Trent to the role of Managing Director and CEO,” Executive Chairman Ross Warner said.

“We look forward to him driving our world-class helium portfolio through exploration towards targeted development and cashflow,” he added.

Blue Star has also appointed Neil Rinaldi as Non-Executive Director.

Neil has over 20 years experience in the finance sector, having overseen asset acquisitions, capital raisings and disposals.

Currently, Neil is CEO of International Graphite and prior to that he was Non-Executive Director of Brainchip (BRN) and Executive Director of Aziana (AZK).

“I would like to warmly welcome Neil to the Blue Star team. We are pleased to have attracted a Non-Executive Director of Neil’s considerable and highly relevant expertise,” Ross commented.

“His experience complements the existing board skills matrix nicely and we look forward to his valuable contributions going forward,” he concluded.

Shares in Blue Star are up 2.56 per cent on the market and trading at 4 cents at 11:29 am AEST.
