Chesser Resources (CHZ) has received results from a further 20 reverse circulation (RC) holes drilled at the Diamba Sud Gold Project.

The 53.2-square-kilometre Diamba Sud Project is situated in Eastern Senegal and lies over the gold-bearing Kédougou-Kéniéba Inlier.

The aim of this RC drilling program was to target geochemical anomalies and interpreted structures at the project.

All up, 2652 metres of drilling was undertaken across Area H, the Western Splay and the Southern Arc.

Best results include four metres at 9.6g/t gold from 62 metres, nine metres at 4.2g/t gold from 132 metres and one metre at 3.8g/t gold from 13 metres.

“These results highlight the prospectivity of the greater Diamba Sud tenement with ore grade intercepts at Area H, a previously undrilled geochemical anomaly on the interpreted Northern Arc structure,” CEO Andrew Grove said.

“Drilling on the Northern Arc structure has defined anomalous mineralisation for over four kilometres on the tenement,” he added.

Chesser has now begun a resource definition drilling program across Area A and Area D to infill and extend identified mineralisation.

Work is expected to be completed by late June or early July with results planned to be released shortly after.

Furthermore, an induced polarisation geophysical survey is ongoing, which aims to improve the resolution of the existing data.

Shares in Chesser are steady on the market and are trading at 13 cents at 12:42 pm AEST.
