Auris Minerals (AUR) has completed a diamond drilling program at the Forrest and Wodger deposits which make up the Forrest Project in Western Australia.

The program included five holes, for 2339 metres, and aligned with Auris’ broader strategy of systematically testing the deposits and gaining a better understanding of the mineralisation controls.

Drilling was completed after the final hole was drilled to a depth of 471.3 metres. While assays are pending, the drill hole intersected several discrete zones of copper sulphide mineralisation.

“I am pleased to report the completion of our diamond drilling program at Forrest which has yielded some very encouraging results,” Managing Director Mike Hendriks said.

“One of the key takeaways is copper mineralisation appears to extend outside of
the existing resource and the mineralised zone remains open at both the Forrest and Wodger deposits,” he added.

Once assays are received, the company will include the data into the current interpretations for the Forrest and Wodger deposits.

Auris plans to follow the drill program up with a downhole electromagnetic survey once it secures a contractor.

The company will also evaluate selected targets identified from a survey completed late last year.

Company shares are up 4.55 per cent and are trading at 6.9 cents at 1:52 pm AEST.
