Golden Deeps (GED) has intersected thick intervals of copper mineralisation at its Nosib prospect in Namibia.
Initial drilling comprised 25 holes for 1,275 metres at Nosib and Khusib Springs, targeting high grade extensions of copper-silver mineralisation that had been previously mined. 15 holes were drilled for 958 metres at Nosib and 10 holes for 331 metres at Khusib Springs.
The Nosib Block mine is a high-grade copper-vanadium mine located 16 kilometres west of Khusib Springs in the Otavi Mountain Land. Drilling tested between the levels to a depth of around 60 to 80 metres below surface, for a strike length of less than 80 metres.
Thirteen of 15 reverse circulation holes at Nosib intersected thick intervals of copper mineralisation and sulphides, including semi-massive copper-sulphides over five metres.
Chanel sample results included six metres at 9.3 per cent copper, 4.72 per cent lead and 7.92g/t silver.
Khusib Springs drilling targeted high-grade copper-silver mineralisation, adjacent to historic stopes.
The current drilling program at Khusib Springs is targeting the upper part of the deposit next to the old stopes and up-plunge from previously mined high-grade areas.
Significant copper mineralisation was intersected in two holes, with analytical results expected from a Perth lab within weeks.
Golden Deeps is up 4.55 per cent, trading at 1.2 cents at 11:50 am AEST.
