Gibb River Diamonds (GIB) has completed its phase four drilling program at the Edjudina Gold Project north-east of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.

Phase four drilling kicked off at the project on the 20th of this month, consistent with timings outlined in the company’s most recent quarterly report.

The program included a total of 137 aircore holes drilled for 4474 metres and was designed to test extensions to the high grade Neta Lode prospect where the company discovered high grade gold in October last year.

The most recent drilling follows results from phase three reverse circulation drilling, which the company said “better defined and expanded” the Neta Lodes discovery and included an intersection of 30 metres at 2.20 grams per tonne of gold from surface.

Phase four aircore drilling targeted Neta Lode style targets and quartz vein style targets along 13 kilometres of strike which includes parallel lines of historic gold workings where high grade veins were previously mined.

The company said all samples had been sent to a laboratory in Kalgoorlie for assay and results would be reported once they were available and had been assessed.

Shares are trading 4.3 per cent higher at 7.3 cents apiece at 12:05pm AEST.
