Zenith Minerals (ZNC) has intersected up to 70 grams of gold per tonne (g/t) from its Split Rocks Gold Project in Western Australia.

The company has now received results from the first 36 aircore holes drilled at the Dulcie Far North target.

Dulcie Far North is one of 18 high-quality gold targets identified at Split Rocks via a major targeting program.

Zenith has so far tested 12 of these targets with the remaining yet to be subject to first pass drill testing.

Best results from Dulcie Far North include three metres at 70g/t gold, eight metres at 2.5g/t gold and eight metres at 1.9g/t gold.

Infill and extensional aircore drilling is now underway at Dulcie Far North with reverse circulation drilling to follow shortly afterwards.

Chairman Peter Bird said: “The results are great and in addition to the existing two kilometre long gold zone at Dulcie Laterite Pit, they define another one kilometre long zone that now requires further follow-up drill testing.”

“We note that these new results from 36 holes are only a portion of the larger 100-hole drill program, they are particularly significant given the relatively coarse spacing of drill lines at Dulcie Far North.”

Shares in Zenith were up 8.16 per cent with shares trading at 26.5 cents at 2:18 pm AEST.
