Resolution Minerals (RML) has completed drilling on the East Pogo Gold Prospect at the 64 North Project in Alaska.

Drilling began in June with 2000 metres of reverse circulation (RC) drilling planned to test high-grade gold targets.

All up, 12 RC holes, for 1663 metres, were drilled on time and within budget.

Seven quartz veins were intersected in five of the 12 holes with hydrothermal alteration present in all holes.

Results are expected in four weeks and will be reported on once they become available.

“We are encouraged to see seven zones of flay lying quartz veining with minor sulphides up to 4.6 metres thick, amongst intensely altered host rock in RC drill chips at the East Pogo Prospect,” Managing Director Duncan Chessell said.

“More importantly, RML has identified dilation zones – where the rock has pulled apart allowing the formation of quartz veins, which can host high-grade gold in this district.

“While we are excited by these drilling results, the assay results will be the real test and are expected in four weeks.”

Shares in Resolution were up 9.09 per cent and trading at 2.4 cents at 12:11 pm AEST.
