Archer Materials (AXE) has seen its first quantum information signals detected on its 12CQ chip.

Archer’s 12CQ chip is a world-first qubit processor technology that enables mobile quantum computing powered devices.

Archer has characterised and optimized custom-built quantum control devices for initial qubit control measurements and developed advanced device designs.

With the early indication of on-chip qubit control, the company’s 12CQ quantum computing chip technology development is on track to achieve qubit control under various environments, including few and single qubits.

Device fabrication and characterisation measurements are now taking place at various lab facilities.

Archer has also recorded continuous wave electron spin resonance (cw-ESR) signals arising from a specially fabricated, superconducting on-chip resonator semiconductor device, integrating microscopic quantities of qubits.

Initial results from testing indicated the obtained on-chip cw-ESR signal signature was characteristic of the qubit material.

Archer says the on-chip signal signature was in excellent agreement with the well-studied, repeatable, and scientifically published signal obtained from room temperature measurements performed on macroscopic quantity qubits using cw-ESR instruments.

“Archer is making significant progress towards on-chip qubit control as part of its 12CQ chip development,” Archer CEO Dr Mohammad Choucair said.

“We have the strongest indication yet that on-chip control of quantum information in our qubit material is within reach and entirely possible under miniaturisation conditions required for any future chip operation.”

Archer Materials was up 9.74 per cent, trading at $1.07 at 12:45 pm AEST.
