Uranium exploration company 92 Energy (92E) has appointed current CEO Siobhan Lancaster to the role of Managing Director.

In her role as CEO, Ms Lancaster led 92 Energy through its $5 million initial public offering (IPO) in mid-April 2021.

She also oversaw the planning and analysis of project generation of highly prospective, new and unconformity-type uranium projects in Canada.

In the role of Managing Director, Ms Lancaster will focus on refining and implementing 92 Energy’s strategy and overseeing its first major exploration and drill programs in Canada’s Athabasca Basin.

Prior to joining 92 Energy, Ms Lancaster was Company Secretary for Extract Resources, a role in which she played a major role in the takeover by CGNPC.

Chairman Richard Pearce is pleased to have someone of Ms Lancaster’s calibre and experience join the team.

“Siobhan has demonstrated her capability and enthusiasm for the company and its strategy with a key focus on communicating our plans to shareholders and a wider audience,” Mr Pearce commented.

“She is a dynamic leader with great potential to lead this business and play an important role in the industry.”

Furthermore, Matthew Gauci has transitioned from an Executive Director to a Non-Executive Director role, effective July 1, 2021.

Shares in 92 Energy were down 3.33 per cent and trading at 29 cents at 3:52 pm AEST.
