New World Resources (NWC) has received further significant results from the Antler Copper Project in Arizona, US.

Results have been received from three holes with high-grade mineralisation intersected in all.

Best results come from hole ANT23 which intersected 20.2 metres at 2.7 per cent copper, 6.7 per cent zinc, one per cent lead, 0.30 grams per tonne of gold (g/t) and 48g/t silver from 452.5 metres.

Additionally, a 14.9-metre-thick interval was encountered in hole ANT59 as well as 1.9 per cent copper, 3.4 per cent zinc, 0.6 per cent lead, 0.34g/t gold and 28.6g/t silver.

The results confirm the robustness of the Main Shoot as well as demonstrating the continuity of the mineralisation.

Results are pending for a further 13 holes and will be reported on once they become available.

Managing Director Mike Haynes is pleased with the results as they confirm the high-grade nature of Antler.

“As we’ve continually reported since drilling commenced 17 months ago — the grades are high and the thickness are good, demonstrating that we have an exceptionally attractive development proposition on our hands at Antler,” Mr Haynes said.

“It’s important to note however that the high-grade mineralisation remains completely open at depth, with thickness appearing to improve with depth over the entire strike length of the deposit.

“We therefore expect that exploration drilling, to expand the resource base, will continue for the foreseeable future, including after our maiden JORC resource is declared.”

New World was up 6.02 per cent on the market with shares trading at 8.8 cents at 10:29 am AEST.
