Artemis Resources (ARV) has received the first results from a reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the Carlow Castle Project.

The Carlow Project lies roughly 45 kilometres east of Karratha in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

Nine RC holes were recently drilled on the western end of the project and results have been received for six.

Best results include one metre at 9.29 grams of gold per tonne (g/t), 0.67 per cent copper and 0.17 per cent cobalt from 114 metres; six metres at 2.68g/t gold, 1.1 per cent copper and 0.02 per cent cobalt from 28 metres; and two metres at 2.07g/t gold, 0.44 per cent copper and 0.31 per cent cobalt from 110 metres.

Results from the remaining three RC holes and six diamond holes are expected to be reported on shortly.

Executive Director Alastair Clayton is pleased with the results and looking forward to receiving the remaining ones.

“Exploration drilling at the Carlow Project has once again returned some fantastic results and highlights the remarkable overall prospectivity of this large mineralised system to host substantial shoots of very high-grade gold and copper,” Mr Clayton said.

“The exploration results from the May program and the new RC drill exploration campaign now under way are aiming to achieve just that and, with multiple areas yet to be drill tested, I am confident substantially more high-grade zones will be identified.”

Artemis has also begun an 11,000-metre RC drilling program at Carlow Castle with a focus on expanding several high-grade shoots, growing the Crosscut deposit, and testing the Good Luck and Little Fortune mineralised systems.

The company believes this program has the potential to substantially enhance the project.

Shares in Artemis were up 3.66 per cent and trading at 5.9 cents at 11:27 am AEST.
