White Rock Minerals (WRM) said it had hit “spectacular” high-grade zinc intersections during step-out drilling at the Red Mountain VMS project in Alaska.

Drill holes testing down-dip projection intersected 1.4 metres of high-grade massive sulphide, with results including 35 per cent zinc, 12.2 per cent lead, 237 grams per tonne (g/t) silver, 2.9 g/t gold and 0.3 per cent copper.

This drill hole has now doubled the known depth of the resource in this area of the deposit.

A second drill hole targeted the western end of the down-dip projection of the Fosters lens and intersected a zone of banded pyrite in the host carbonaceous schist. However, no significant base metal sulphides were logged.

A further three drill holes have also been completed at Dry Creek over a 200-metre spaced step-out along strike, testing for depth extensions.

White Rock Minerals are trading 2.52 per cent up at 30.5 cents at 11:31 am AEST.
