Ragnar Metals (RAG) has received the required environmental and work plan permits for the Tullsta Nickel Project in Sweden.

The project is located near Sala within the Bergslagen district of Sweden and comprises four contiguous permits covering 93.6 square kilometres.

The Berga Nr1 tenement hosts the Granmuren Nickel deposit where the company has defined down plunge drill targets at depth following an induced polarization and resistivity chargeability survey in 2019.

Current drilling has reportedly discovered significant primary magmatic sulphide mineralisation at depth along the basal contact of Granmuren Intrusive Complex.

Granting of the permits is seen as a significant milestone for the company and will allow the next phases of exploration at the Granmuren nickel-copper discovery to begin immediately.

The Environmental and Mining regulatory bodies in Sweden have granted the work permit for two years and the environmental access permit for a five year period.

Specifically, the permits allow Ragnar to operate machinery and undertake exploration activities within the fields and forests surrounding the Granmuren nickel discovery area with standard working and environmental preservation conditions in place.

Consulting geophysicists from GeoVista have mobilized a field crew to begin geophysical downhole electro-magnetic (EM) surveying of the drill holes to define off-hole EM conductors.

RAG said this will allow vectoring towards the core zone of the mineralised magmatic intrusive system which will provide high priority drill targets ready for diamond core drilling.

Shares have been trading flat at 3.9 cents at 3:28 pm AEST.
