Red Sky Energy (ROG) Oil and Gas has completed production testing at its Killanoola oil field facility based in South Australia with no incidents.

According to the announcement, the company confirmed the linear rod pump is functioning as it should and the surface sampling of the reservoir fluid has been collected for assays.

Following an initial clean up period, the well produced oil with no water at an average rate of 40 barrels per day.

Additional testing will be conducted once additional potential zones at Killanoola are perforated.

Additionally, the Department for Energy and Mining of South Australia has since approved the LRP production testing at Killanoola.

The Killanoola oil fields have historical work dating back to 1998 when the well was drilled to the depth of 850 metres where oil was found at a 34 degree API waxy crude.

“We are happy to have achieved all the objectives we set out for the preliminary production testing at Killanoola-1 DW-1. We are now in possession of a representative fluid sample to carry out fluid assay studies,” Managing Director Andrew Knox said.

“Results from these studies will facilitate commercial negotiations with potential Killanoola crude oil buyers”.

Red Sky Energy shares are up 6.25 per cent, trading at 0.9 cents at 10:55 am AEDT.
