Lycaon Resources (LYN) has begun a detailed drone magnetic geophysical survey at its Rocky Dam gold project in Western Australia’s Goldfields region.

The company said the survey, which would cover more than 29.5 square kilometres of the project area, was designed to ultimately help generate exploration targets at Rocky Dam.

Magnetic data acquisition was expected to take about two weeks.

“The drone survey will provide a highly detailed magnetic dataset to assist in geological interpretation and exploration targeting going forward,” Lycaon Technical Director Thomas Langley said.

“Following the recent RC drill program being completed, I’m looking forward to reviewing
all of the assay results and building on our knowledge of the mineral system at Rocky Dam.”

The company was also undertaking an extensive auger sampling program.

“The auger sampling program across the broader tenement package will be important in
identifying new targets and I’m hopeful we will have multiple new targets to follow up with further auger sampling and drilling throughout 2022,” Mr Langley said.

LYN shares ended the day’s trading session 2.86 per cent higher at 36 cents.
