Bulletin Resources (BNR) is planning to conduct a Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) and high-resolution aerial imagery survey at its Ravensthorpe lithium project in WA.

The company is planning to use the technology to discover pegmatites, after other explorers in the area managed to use the tool successfully.

The survey uses a high-resolution 3D image of the earth’s surface to identify new pegmatite outcrops.

BNR hopes the survey will be able to identify further extensions to the lithium-bearing Western and Eastern pegmatite trends.

Given over 100 pegmatite outcrops have already been mapped along the Eastern trend, the company is confident further discoveries will be made.

With $11.9 million in cash, receivables and liquid investments, Bulletin remains well funded for its future exploration activities.

Shares were trading 14.3 per cent higher at 16 cents each at 1:38 pm AEST.
