The Tasmanian Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) has allowed R3D Resources (R3D) to progress its stage two application to the advertising stage at the Zeehan project in western Tasmania.

The stage two application involves the potential granting of a permit to access the Northern Zinc Slag stockpile and to crush material from both Northern and Southern stockpiles.

“Entering the 28-day advertising period is an important step in progressing the stage two application to potentially allow for the further exports of Zeehan low grade furnace/slag matte with the most recent shipment being completed in early May 2022,” Managing Director Stephen Bartop said.

Additionally, the company has updated the Digger lode exploration target at the Nightflower silver project using average 2021 commodity prices as well as antimony grades from historical resource reporting.

“Antimony is a deemed critical mineral by the Australian Dept. Industry, Science, Energy and Resources,” Mr Bartop said.

Last week, the company reported a revised exploration target at Nightflower, which is located 40 kilometres north of Chillagoe in Queensland.

According to the company, Nightflower is known to contain high silver grades.

Shares in R3D Resources were down 4.55 per cent to $0.10 at the close of trading on Monday.
