Laneway Resources (LNY) has recommenced mining activities at the Agate Creek project in North Queensland.

The company has begun production-grade control sampling, assaying and blasting has commenced with the first production blast for 2022 which was fired last Friday, June 10.

Assays are expected within the week with the mining fleet expected to commence mobilisation next week.

Blast hole drilling for 2022 follows on from the approval of the environmental authority and the commencement of the first phase of the refurbishment of the Georgetown gold processing plant.

The processing plant is on track to commence the processing of ore next month. This restart will allow Laneway to take control over its gold production.

“We are pleased with the continuing rapid progress being made towards gold production,” Managing Director Brad Gordon said.

“With mining activities underway and good progress on the restart of the Georgetown plant there is a clear pathway for Laneway to execute on its significant growth pipeline.”

On the market, LNY shares were in the grey and trading at 0.4 cents per share at 1:53 pm AEST.
